Blog Post Title One
I'm Daniela Mortada, the founder of RaumWerk, and my journey into interior design wasn’t a straight line — but every step led me here. Born and raised in Germany, with a German-Egyptian heritage, I began my career as a travel agent, which opened my eyes to the diversity of cultures, aesthetics, and ways of living. Later, while working as a cultural representative at the German Pavilion at Epcot, I met my husband — a former Disney animator and acclaimed Fine Art painter — and eventually made the United States my home. For years, I focused on raising our children and supporting my husband’s creative career, both in and outside the studio. I was closely involved with gallery showings, curated art installations, and worked directly with clients to place artwork in their homes. I gained firsthand experience in how color, texture, and storytelling transform a space. A quiet passion was taking root as I began experimenting in our own home — building furniture, reimagining rooms, and crafting spaces that felt intentional. Determined to deepen my knowledge, I pursued a degree in Interior Design at Ringling College of Art and Design. Though nervous about returning to school as a non-traditional student, I brought with me years of life experience, a sharp eye, and the determination my German grandmother instilled in me: Nothing ventured, nothing gained (Wer nicht wagt, der nicht gewinnt). That drive served me well — I excelled in college and was honored with numerous national and international awards. After graduating, I spent six years working for a commercial hospitality design firm specializing in privately owned golf and country clubs. I loved the challenge of large-scale projects — collaborating with design committees, balancing diverse perspectives, and shaping environments where entire communities gather. At the same time, I discovered how much I value working one-on-one with clients, creating spaces that reflect their stories on a deeply personal level. Thanks for being here. I’d love to get to know you — and your space.
Warmly,
Daniela MortadaFounder & Interior Designer, RaumWerk
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
